Guess what?
I saw avatar the other day. Honestly, it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. All my friends and family really liked it so I dunno. :S
Oh yeh except Jong, who said it was shi*. LOL
Well first of all, the 3D glasses were pretty bad. I agree with Jo, they should have shown it in 2D, Because the glasses make everything seem darker. And the 3D wasn't even that good. It just made me dizzy :/ I mean you close one eye, and you see blue, close the other and you see red. That’s just stupid. T.T
On the other hand, the movie would have taken A LOT of effort, time and money to make so I suppose the creators of Avatar deserve credit for that.
The animations were pretty nice! Looked pretty real. The details of the world and all the creatures and plants and the lighting was amazing.
But, the fantasies were probably something that a kindergarten kid would be in to. Like the colourfulness of the world and the way nature works in Pandora kind of reminds me of MMORPG’s lol.
And those floating mountains?! Maplestory.. LOL
I hated the marines too. Their parts in the story seemed so lame. Like the way they talk and stuff. But all well.
Bits I want to point out in this movie.. haha it feels like I'm doing a PMI chart.
Anyway! What flows through Pandora? Well apparently its energy from Eeywah <-- (how do I spell it?) energy gets borrowed from a tree, then it gets returned. That’s cool. And energy flows through other trees aswell so that’s cool too. Now I probably got that all wrong but you’ll get my point later.
So what flows through our planet?
MONEY!!!
And lots of it. The economy flows really well but if one part of the flow falls, then the flow would not be as smooth. “When America sneezes, the whole world gets a cold”
So when a tree gets bulldozed in Pandora, wouldn’t that harm the whole planet?
Anyway that was just something I was thinking about after watching the movie.
Of course, I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes ‘fantasy’ sort of stories, or if you like hardcor* marines, or if you like bows and arrows and machine guns and explosions or flying beasts and alien creatures and floating mountains. I would totally recommend it to you. But if you are not into that stuff…
Just watch it anyway. LOL Because the movie creators of this movie deserve credit for their work. =]

Where has the time gone?
yes, I wrote this like a year ago but since my blog is empty, I may as well use this to fill up the empty space. =]
(written Dec 2008)
It is true, and quite sad sometimes that another year has passed. Many things have happened during 2008. Some of those things we may never do again. But from this year, I have learnt many things, things I’d like to share with you.
Opportunities come up every day, but they may not come up ever again. Every opportunity you see is a gift. A chance. A time to perhaps try something new. If you spend a year turning down opportunities, then you’ve wasted a year of your life. Sticking to ‘traditions’ or doing the same thing isn’t going to make you grow.
Going through new things will give you valuable experiences, and help you grow in many ways.
The question still remains; ‘Where has the time gone?’
Time is something that ticks its way through the year, through every year. Time is not going to wait for you and you can’t run away from time. Even if you were having the best time of your life, time will still persist on.
Indeed the year 2008 has passed. But did you make the most of that time? Or was that year put to waste?
“Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery; Today is a gift, that is why it's called the present..." (Kung-fu Panda - Movie !?)

Of course, you may have taken up plenty of opportunities, but failed at some. Failure is a trick of the mind; a mental trick. It discourages you from trying new things again. Whenever you fail, you will probably feel at your lowest. Be resilient, be strong and bounce back! Don’t doubt yourself. Never do that. Think positive. Stay positive. Believe in it. This way, you will always do your best.
“When doubt enters a mind, it will become self-fulfilling” (John Flanagan)
Competing against others will most likely pull you down. Compete against yourself. Don’t settle in for the best, but settle in for your best!

“Friends are like angels, without any wings. Blessing our lives with the most precious things...” (quote from friend)
Friends are the most important things in life. They help you as you help them. They are there when you need them. You are there when they need you.
“So my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” (John F Kennedy)
And here is my own version:
“So my fellow friends, ask not what your mates can do for you, but what you can do for them in return”
Friends are there to help you out. Friends make me who I am. Without friends, I would be nothing.
“Friends are the best presents you can give yourself!”

“Courage, Determination, Persistence” (Anon)
Words I picked up only a few weeks ago, but now fascinated with. It may as well be my personal motto. These words (in that specific order) are the key to fulfilling anything. Any goal, any dream, any ambition.
It takes courage to do something new. It requires determination so see the success. It takes persistence to keep the goal running. Eventually, you will end up with one word – ‘success!’
“Courage, Determination, Persistence; Success” – key words to anything.

The year 2008 has been a wonderful year. It was a year full of valuable friends, opportunities and ambitions that made the year a real big success! But as time ticks, it pushes us towards 2009.
Have a good one all. =]
